Work Station - Create a New Work Order
Each Department can create a shortcut from the network drive and they will have a screen like the one below to Create their maintenance work order. Their particular screen on their work station will have their own set of drop down menus, which can be edited and/or deleted. After an item is typed into a drop down box it the program will ask if you want to add this to the dropdown menu. If it is already in the dropdown it won't ask. Of course, if it is already in there, you can select from the dropdown. Each work station has its own unique set of drop downs. In addition, the program defaults to a regular work order, but it also can be selected as a Safety or Priority work order, which will be indicated on the work order, the printed work order and also the work order summary. Another feature is the "Date of the Work Order". The date defaults to today's date, however, it can be changed to the date of an older maintenance work order that has not been entered yet.

The drop downs are designed to make it easy to create a work order. Once the drop downs are built, most work orders will be mostly point and click instead of time consuming data entry.

Work Station Screen

The screen below is a close replica of the program screen that is used.  You can get a feel for what it is like to create a work order with this screen as the drop downs are active, and with a few entries that we put in there ourselves for demonstration.  Of course, you would have your own items in the dropdowns because everything that you initially type in gets added to the drop down for the future and each work station or department would develop their own unique drop down menus that apply to their department.  When completing an Uncompleted work order to send you can accomplish this here from any work station by filling in the fields with asterisks *, and then click on "Create this Work Order".  You can also enter your own Work Order Number by putting it in the "Manual WO #" box and it will override the automatic work order #.
